Abbreviations Used
- ch - Chain
- dc - Double Crochet
- sl st - Slip Stitch
- sp - Space
Pattern
Round 1
ch4 and join with a slip stich.
ch3 (counts as first dc), 2dc, ch1, 3dc, ch1, 3dc, ch1, 3dc, all in ring.
If changing colors, do it now.
Join with slip stitch.
Round 2
ch3 and 2dc ch1 3dc in same ch1 sp, 3dc ch1 3dc three more times.
If changing colors, do it now.
Join with slip stitch.
Round 3
ch3 2dc in same sp, 3dc ch1 3dc in corner ch1 sp, [3dc in next sp, 3dc ch1 3dc in corner ch1 sp] 3 times.
If changing colors, do it now.
Join with slip stitch.
Round 4 and on.
follow pattern for round 3.
The standard granny square is 4 rounds however, you may make them as many or few rounds as you like to give you the size granny square you desire.
