The raised stacked shell stitch is basically the same as the stacked shell stitch, except you are substituting a front and rear post stitch instead of the double crochet stitch between shell clusters. This gives more texture and depth to your crochet pattern.
Chain a multiple of 6 + 3 ch
Row 1: RS - In sixth ch from hook 5dc, *[skip 2ch 1fpdc in next ch, skip 2ch 5dc in next ch], repeat from * to last 3ch, dc in last ch, ch3 and turn.
Row 2: WS - *[Work 5dc in third dc from hook (top of 5dc cluster), skip 2dc and rpdc in dc], repeat from * to end of row dc in last dc, ch3 and turn.
Row 3: RS - Work 5dc in third dc from hook, *[skip 2dc 1fpdc in next dc, skip 2dc 5dc in next dc], repeat from * to last 3dc, dc in last dc, ch3 and turn.
Row 4: WS - *[Work 5dc in third dc from hook (top of 5dc cluster), skip 2dc and rpdc in dc], repeat from * to end of row dc in last dc, ch3 and turn.
Repeat rows 3 & 4 for pattern.
